JINNY
MARINE TRADERS has a sophisticated, modern seafood plant on the west
coast of Indian in the small, traditional fishing town of
Veraval in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat. The plant, which has a processing area of about 40,000sq ft
(3716 sq meters), Can produce 30 tonnes of frozen seafood a day
and has a 700 tonne coldstore, it has a cooking line, IQF
machine and vacuum skinpacking facility.The Company's annual productions is around 4000
tonnes and it
has a turnover of over $10 Million. Jinny Marine Traders employs more than 400 workers and its main
markets are Italy, Portugal, Spain, Belgium and the USA.
Its prodcts range includes raw & cooked shrimp, head-on,
Headless, peeled, PD, PDTO and skewers; Plus cleaned cuttlefish,
squids skewers, rings and tubes. Over 70% of the company's
products are shipped in value-added form in consumer packs
ranging from 250-2000g. Jinny Marine Traders was founded by Mr. K. P. Thomas in 1996.
Mr. Thomas is a Well-Known fishery scientist with over 40 years'
experience. He personally supervises, Monitors and controls the
company's entire processing system right from the arrival of the
raw materials to the factory to processing and packing - thereby
ensuring high products quality.
In-house testing facilities are available for microbiological
parameters as well as biochemical tests such as indole,
histamine and TVBN/TMA.
The Company is in the process of BRC Certification. |
